Through October David will be working every weekend with Old Men Dancing, an intrepid group in Peterborough, setting choreography on them for a performance in Peterborough, December 3, 4, and 5.
Old Men Dancing, whose dancers are all over the age of 50, was formed in 2002 and recently teamed up with professional dance company, Atlas Moves Watching. Under Artistic Director Bill James, they have performed to sold out houses at Peterborough's Market Hall and commissioned works from some of Canada's most renouned choreographers.
December 2009 performances will see the premiere of David's new work, Canticles, danced to a selection of music from Medieval Europe, as well as the premiere of Ted Robinson's Under Canvas, a remount of James' Weathering, and a reprise of Allen Kaeja's Unhinged.
